The
Complete Package
After
two years of production, we now have the
complete “The Way of the Master” television
series available in one package. All twenty-six
half-hour programs from the first two seasons of
the show are contained on thirteen DVDs, with a
104-page study guide covering all twenty-six episodes.
“The Way of the Master” is the winner
of the National Religious Broadcasters 2005 Best
Program Award and the 2004 & 2005 People’s
Choice Awards. It has been commended by John MacArthur,
Ravi Zacharias, and David Jeremiah.
“It
was amazing to see the transformation in the hearts
and lives of our teenagers. At the beginning of
the course only a couple of teens witnessed regularly.
Last week, 90% of our class witnessed to someone.”
— J. D. Ritchie (CA)
When you purchase this series, you will receive
a free copy of Behind the Scenes (a $20
value). This 112-page, hardback book gives you a
behind-the-scenes look at the filming of the show,
through over 500 full-color photos, commentary,
viewer questions, evangelistic articles and insights
from Kirk and Ray. For a limited time, the entire
series and the book are available for $99. (If purchased
separately, these items would cost $218.)
Equip
your congregation to more effectively share the
gospel by showing this series at your church. To
advertise your event, download the free
promotional poster. People seem to appreciate
more—and are more likely to commit to—something
that they pay for, so we suggest charging a nominal
amount ($5 or $10) per person. Using those funds,
purchase a study guide and tracts for each participant.

| Left
Behind 3
The
makers of Left Behind: World War III
have asked Kirk and I if we would like to
include our teaching as a special bonus feature
on the Left Behind 3 DVD (due for release
in October). We would value your prayers as
we film this material. This is a tremendous
opportunity to get the teaching into the hands
of Christians. The first Left Behind movie
sold three million copies. By the way, don’t
miss Kirk’s
column (http://www.wayofthemaster.com/columns_kirk/)
this month—it’s wonderful. |

Full
House Trivia Tract
We
now have a Full
House Trivia tract in which Candace
Cameron-Bure (Kirk’s sister) gives
her testimony—explaining how she
thought she was a Christian until the
Law showed her what sin was.
Check
out her
website (www.candacecameronbure.net);
she is also available for speaking engagements.

| Jim
Carrey
In
a November 2004 interview on CBS’s “60
Minutes,” Jim Carrey was unashamed to
voice his spiritual beliefs, which is quite
unusual for an actor. I have never seen any
actor so bare his soul. When the interviewer
said, “I get the sense you are a big
bundle of conflicting emotions,” Jim
responded, “Yeah, I’m emotional.
I’ve decided to be there. I only act
in the movies.” My heart went out to
him.
This
week we received a phone call from a young
lady named Kelsey J. who attends Pepperdine
University in Malibu. She saw Jim Carrey in
a yogurt shop on a Friday night in April.
She left, drove around the block ten times,
terrified to go back. But she did, and was
able to witness to him—for an hour.
She took him through the Law and he was very
open. Interestingly, in What
Hollywood Believes Jim Carrey is
quoted as saying, "I don’t know
what God is but I know that He’s at
least an energy that rules all that walks
the earth and I really think there are laws.
There are laws and maybe they’re within
us." He's right about that. And God sent
him someone to tell him about those Laws.
Please
pray for Jim’s salvation. (This entire
witnessing encounter, and many others, will
be detailed in a new book due out at the end
of the year.)

| Mother's
Day Gifts
For
Mother’s Day, honor the women in your
life with a gift that yields eternal dividends.
How
to Bring Your Children to Christ . . . &
Keep Them There shares biblical principles
that will help parents with the most important
of issues—guiding their children toward
genuine conversion.
101
Things Husbands Do to Annoy Their Wives
will delight both sexes, and makes a humorous
evangelistic gift for other relatives, friends,
and neighbors. This lighthearted look at marriage
helps wives understand their other half and
it helps husbands not to feel alone in their
quirks. It also explains what true love is
(God’s love shown on the cross), and
gives “Ten final tips on how to keep
a wife happy.”
In
fact, both of these make equally good gifts
for Father’s Day.

| The
Reason for the Book
The
Way of the Master book was written
specifically for Christians who say, “Okay,
I agree with what you are saying about modern
methods. But the use of the Law is just one
way to reach the lost. You have your way of
evangelizing, and I have mine.” After
receiving the below email about my last column,
I sent the gentleman a copy of the book because
it specifically addressed his concerns, and
was encouraged by his humble response:
Dear
Ray, I love the no-nonsense nuts and bolts
approach to evangelism of your ministry
but I think you need to be a little more
responsible and consistent with what you
say in your column. In the “Tsunami,
Cheese Sandwich" column you mention
that “a God of love who is all-powerful
and wants to better the life of humanity
doesn’t exist.” To make a blanket
statement like this is fundamentally wrong.
Of course, the world is facing a God of
wrath, but for those in Christ Jesus we
have Romans 8:28 and we know that in all
things God works for the good of those who
love him, who have been called according
to his purpose . . . Sorry to come off on
the attack, but I think you need to be more
accountable to someone in your ministry
because thousands of people read your column.
In Jesus, Ken
Dear
Ray, thank you for the book. I am on the
third chapter and all I can say is I’m
sorry for the vehement charge laid in ignorance.
Ken
About a year ago, we were delighted to publish
the book with Tyndale House Publishers (they
sold more than fifty million copies of the
Left Behind series). It’s a
risk going with big publishers as your book
can get lost among their many titles. But
thanks to you and other folks, there are already
52,000 in print. When it hits 100,000, they
may start aggressively promoting it. Please
pray that this happens.

| Say
it with a sign...
Max
P. of Courtland, Virginia, sent us a picture
of some magnetic signs he had a local sign
maker fabricate for the back of his utility
trailer.
The
gospel message at NeedGod.com
is very simple and straightforward. It starts
unbelievers out with a "test" to
see if they are good enough to get into heaven,
then goes through a series of questions and
answers that are much like the ones you would
use when talking one-on-one. Finally it concludes
by presenting the incredible grace we are
offered through the blood of Jesus.

Motorcycles and Flea Markets
::..
Sent
in by Tim K. (St. Louis,
MO)
Every
Sunday morning, a few miles
from my home, there is an
outdoor flea market. I had
heard that about 5,000 people
visit there every Sunday
between 6:00 a.m. and noon.
It occurred to me that most
of those folks probably
do not go to church. After
discussing the matter with
a few fellow Christian motorcyclists,
we agreed to try to set
up a booth using our motorcycles
as "bait" so we
could hand out tracts, etc.
So,
one Sunday morning, my wife
and I prayed and then went
to check it out. Sure enough,
a multitude of people were
swarming the place looking
for bargains. I approached
the lady in charge of renting
out booths and explained
my intention. In five minutes
the conversation went from,
"Come back in four
months to our annual meeting,"
to "Come next week
and we'll give you a prime
location for free!"
We
came back the next Sunday
and set up a 10' X 10' canopy,
parked four motorcycles
around it and set up a card
table full of tracts. The
money tracts are a real
attention grabber. I had
a couple of people ask,
"How much for the big
hundred dollar bills?"
We told them, "Free!
Everything is free except
the motorcycles!" In
five or six hours we talked
with many people and gave
out even more tracts.
