A Table at Your Local Mall
Our local mall allowed a group (including some of our employees) to have a tract table and to witness to people. California law says that they have to. It seems strange because several of us have been kicked out of that same mall a number of times for witnessing and giving out tracts. And yet here we were, not only with the mall's permission, but they supplied us with chairs and a table covered in a black cloth with the mall's name on it. Hundreds of people took tracts and were witnessed to at the table. Perhaps your mall is also legally bound to allow you to do this. Call them and ask. Make sure you view this short video clip where some of the participants tell what happened.

"We live in a neighborhood that doesn't get many, if any, "trick-or-treaters." So what we are going to do this year is go "trick-or-treating" taking a whole stack of Million Dollar Bills with us. When my son goes to the door he will get candy, but the people giving the candy will get a gospel tract in return. We figure we can easily hand out a hundred in one night! "On the 28th have someone put on a Donald Trump Halloween mask and a suit, and then pass out the million or billion dollar bill tracts . . . We have been hitting parades hard and passing out tracts, and coins for little kids, and doing lots of one on one witnessing. We walk the curb or walk through the people standing watching the parade go by. In five parades we have passed out 25,000 tracts. The Way of the Master Radio on Your Local Station
The Way of the Master Radio is now on 80 land based stations. This is almost miraculous because we don't pay to be on the air, as most programs do. We are both grateful to the stations and to God for this. If you would like your local station to carry the program, you may like to send them a letter like this example. Check your station’s website; you may even be able to send it quickly and easily by email.

New York and the Spy Cam
The New York shoot for the Third Season went well. Don't miss Ray's column this month, which details much of what happened in New York (including Ray discovering a human body on the bathroom floor of his hotel room). In the article you'll also read about how we have begun using a "spy" camera to capture witnessing footage in places we would never be able to use a standard camera.* For example, we were turned down when we contacted the Jehovah's Witnesses world headquarters asking for an interview on their beliefs. But with the spy cam we were able to casually walk into their headquarters and talk to the Jehovah's Witnesses there very naturally about what they believe. This month both Kirk and Ray will also be using the spy cam to visit three Hollywood psychics to witness to them, and they will be doing something similar for Halloween. We would value your prayers for these projects. (Also, a big thank you to those who came out to help us on the New York shoot!)

If you go to UCLA, please contact us and invite us to visit the campus. We've just learned that we are unable to film there without an invitation. We would also like contacts in other universities in Southern California. Additionally, we need to shoot an episode of the Third Season on an army base. If you have any real connections (we have been on many wild goose-chases), please contact us.
SpringboardsPreaching Outside the Courts, Court Case
For two and a half years we preached the gospel each morning to a line of people who were waiting to enter the Bellflower courts. On September 30th, 2005 a California judge issued us with a court order forbidding the preaching, even though it was on public soil. We were always extremely courteous, there were few complaints, and during that time more than 30,000 people heard the gospel. Our lawyers were confident that we would win the case, but the judge then changed the law so that the area where we preached was no longer public property, but was now considered court property. End of case. This means that we can no longer speak there. Our lawyers were able to restrict their authority so that it didn't include the sidewalk; however, at our court house in Bellflower the distance from the sidewalk to the waiting people would have us hollering over the equivalent of half a city block. So, we will not be preaching at our local courts any longer. The good news is that this law, changed by the judge here in California, only affects the courthouses in Los Angeles County. If you live elsewhere in the U.S., you still have the right to speak on the public soil outside your local courts. During the last 30 days we spoke at our courthouse, Scotty (our sound man) recorded the preaching. These recordings are available in a CD series called "Springboards for Budding Preachers," which also includes transcripts. Don't let fear stop you. You can learn how to speak outside your local courthouse . . . while you still have the liberty. Let your fears drive you to prayer; and that's where you will get the strength and courage.
Evolution/Creation Board Game
For over a year we have worked on a very exciting board game called "Intelligent Design versus Evolution." It's not here yet, but watch for future emails from us on this, because we hope to have it available in time for Christmas.

Witnessing to the Lakers

I am writing this out of my own convictions. I go to school at Moody Bible Institute and many times professional basketball teams come here to practice before they play the Bulls. Our school is right downtown so it is a perfect locale for them. One day I heard the Lakers were practicing and so I just couldn't miss the chance to go and possibly have a chance to share the Gospel with them, in any small way. So I grabbed a few "Ticket to Heaven" tracts and ran over there with excitement. (Pause in the story for a moment. When I see a regular guy on the street, do I get excited that I might have a chance to share Christ with him? Probably not, but I so want to now! Back to the Lakers...) So I am walking up to the weight room trying to play it cool, and all of the sudden I'm in there lifting weights right beside Lamar Odom, Chris Mihm, and Kobe Bryant. Well first off, they are some funny guys, but they are just regular people. They were talking about the big USC vs. Texas game, making guesses on who would win. I introduced myself, and we began talking about weights, our school, what I did. After a while chatting, I thanked them for their time and gave them the gospel tracts. I continued to lift as they read them, and was praying God would do something great. It was just a small step of sowing, but nevertheless the point of my story is that we should witness as if every person we talk to is famous. We should be that passionate to share with them our greatest treasure... Christ.
