The church in Laodicea exemplified this blindness, as their wealth dulled their spiritual hunger. Only God can open our eyes to see our dependence on Him. Storing treasures on earth leads to loss, while obedience to God glorifies Him. Contentment, gratitude, and readiness to give define the truly rich. All we have is a gift from God, meant to be stewarded for His glory. Wealth should never replace our dependence on Christ or blind us to eternity.
