Ray Comfort connects the dots between today’s headlines and the prophetic messages found in the Bible, inviting us to reconsider the relevance and reliability of God’s Word.

The results of the 2024 elections may give some the impression that things will get better. But look at these three prophetic and sobering words we mustn’t overlook:
“In the last days perilous times will come … evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse…” (2 Timothy 3:1,13)
The Bible doesn’t say that things will get better in the last days, but “worse and worse.” That tells us that humanity will become more corrupt. Rotten will become putrid. The issue is deeper than what concerned most of us leading up to the election—abortion. Christians are the big hindrance to same-sex marriage, the normalization of homosexuality, gender identity, euthanasia, assisted suicide, sex education, and many other issues.
This is why we mustn’t forget our agenda. Jesus said to preach the gospel to every creature. This is because the gospel is the power of God to salvation. It not only saves from wrath, but it has the power to transform sin-loving sinners so that they love righteousness.
It’s because of this that when I witness to homosexuals, I don’t get into arguments about their particular sin. Instead, I take them through the Ten Commandments and show them that they are condemned already and need the Savior. So don’t be pulled down rabbit trails by arguing about legitimate peripheral issues—and there are many of them. Just steadfastly proclaim the gospel as we’ve been told to.
“Remember, the agenda of the Church of the Book of Acts wasn’t to improve or reform the oppressive Roman government. Rather, it was to see sinners saved from wrath.”
And here’s something very encouraging: the fact that the Scriptures warn that evil men will become more evil reminds us that God is in total control. The Bible said that this would happen, and it certainly has.
Remember, the agenda of the Church of the Book of Acts wasn’t to improve or reform the oppressive Roman government. Rather, it was to see sinners saved from wrath.
If you want to preach the gospel but you battle fear—whatever you do don’t be discouraged into inaction. There is something simple and effective that you can do. The videos on the Living Waters YouTube channel always contain the gospel, and the simple act of clicking the share button could result in many coming to faith in Jesus and finding everlasting life.
