Living Waters’ Decision Regarding Daystar
Living Waters has made the difficult decision to remove our award-winning TV show, Way of the Master, and all other Living Waters productions from Daystar.
This decision was not made lightly. For more than 20 years, Way of the Master has aired on Daystar, reaching over 190 countries with the gospel. Throughout this time, we have prayerfully remained on the network under three conditions:
- Our content would never be censored
- We would not pay Daystar for airtime
- We would not receive financial compensation from Daystar
Our sole purpose for being on Daystar has been to proclaim the gospel to as many people as possible. By God’s grace, we have received countless messages from individuals who came to saving faith in Christ after coming across Way of the Master on the network. Many have shared that their journey toward a deeper understanding of biblical truth began by watching our program. This is why we have continued to air our show and films on Daystar, despite serious theological differences between us—some of grave concern, and which we have addressed on our TV show and other productions. We remained because of our desire to be a light in the world (Matthew 5:16).
However, in consideration of recent public allegations made against Daystar—allegations of a very serious nature—we can no longer in good conscience allow our content to remain on the network. While we don’t have the capacity to personally investigate these claims or engage with all the parties involved, the allegations are of such a nature that, while not passing any conclusive judgement on the matter, we are compelled to pursue the course of action we’ve outlined above. We have reached out to Daystar, urging repentance if the allegations are true, and we pray that all involved will demonstrate complete honesty and total transparency.
What’s Next for Way of the Master?
The good news is that the show will continue! Every episode from every season is now available for streaming on our new platform, LivingWaters.tv. Additionally, we are finishing production on Way of the Master: Pacific Rim, our biggest season yet. We will soon launch a crowdfunding campaign to bring this season to completion. We are also actively exploring opportunities to bring Way of the Master to other far-reaching platforms, with the goal of encouraging believers and impacting even more unbelievers with the gospel (Mark 16:15).
Removing Way of the Master from one of the largest religious networks in the world was not an easy choice. However, our greatest desire is to honor Christ (1 Corinthians 1:18). We trust in the Lord’s faithfulness (Lamentations 3:22-23) and remain committed to glorifying Him in all we do.
Until the nets are full,
Ray Comfort
