I was at a restaurant in Newport Beach having a dinner with ministry supporters. During dinner, a gentleman named Bill Zalewski sat next to me and mentioned he’d heard I liked the Beatles. Not only was he a fan of our ministry—he was a Beatles fanatic. He and his friends even formed a tribute band. Then, right there at the table, he began singing Beatles tunes. I loved it.

Later that night, I texted him to say how much I appreciated our fellowship. He replied that Paul McCartney was touring the U.S., hitting seventeen major cities. That was all I needed to hear. Huge outreach potential.

We held a meeting and designed a Beatles-themed million-dollar bill tract. The plan? Print one million of them and give them away free to Christians who wanted to attend the concerts—or simply use the buzz to share the gospel.

A few days later, I arrived at Huntington Beach to get interviews about the Beatles—asking people what they thought of the band and whether they believed in life after death. I plan to give away free copies of my book, The Beatles, God, and the Bible as a thank you to those who did Interviews.

As I walked toward the pier, I passed a very muscular police officer and gave her a friendly “Good morning.”

Soon after, we began our interviews. Then something funny happened—a beetle (the insect kind) landed on one of our team member’s shoulders and refused to leave. It felt like a divine setup, and we got seven interviews that day.

“Satan is called the accuser of the brethren. But we have the greatest of all defenses—everything is on camera. The eye of the Lord is in every place. That’s why we need never fear when the world falsely accuses us.”

One of them was with a sweet blonde woman, maybe in her early twenties. She said she was open to God or any kind of higher power. But about three-quarters through the interview, she suddenly stopped, turned, and walked away.

I took a few steps after her to offer a couple of In-N-Out gift cards as a thank-you. She refused and stormed off.

About thirty minutes later, she came back—with three police officers. She accused me of chasing her down the pier.

It was a serious accusation. My defense was twofold: First, I said, “I did not.” Second, I told them we had everything on camera. The police glanced at our two cameramen standing directly behind me, looked incredulous, and said nothing. The woman didn’t speak again. She just walked off. So did the officers.

If that camera hadn’t have been there, things could’ve been different.

Satan is called the accuser of the brethren. But we have the greatest of all defenses—everything is on camera. The eye of the Lord is in every place. That’s why we need never fear when the world falsely accuses us.

When Jesus was persecuted, Scripture says He “committed Himself to Him who judges righteously.” And it also says, “Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies.” (1 Peter 2:23 and Romans 8:33)
